PandaSofa Internal AI Workshop: From Customer Prospecting to Automated Video Production

Summary

On 16 October 2026 PandaSofa held an internal AI workshop for around ten colleagues from export sales, content and operations: AI-built customer profiles that salespeople still grade by hand, and a video pipeline that turns one shoot into a month of output for five accounts.

PandaSofa held an internal AI workshop on the afternoon of 16 October 2026. Around ten colleagues from the export sales, content and operations teams met in the company meeting room to review the AI tools now running inside everyday work — from finding new overseas customers to producing short videos.

Customer research: AI sorts, people decide

The first part covered customer discovery. A prospecting workflow pulls business listings from public map data, then builds a profile for each lead: website, social channels, product range and likely decision makers. It also suggests an opening angle for the first call or email, and assigns each lead an S, A, B or C grade.

The grade is a starting point, not a verdict. Every AI-assigned grade is checked and corrected by the salesperson before it is saved, and follow-up notes and next-contact dates are recorded in the same place so the whole pipeline stays visible. One-click outbound calling is already connected, and call records flow back into the team's shared workspace.

One gap was identified on the spot: the first data pass collected phone numbers but not email addresses, which breaks the email follow-up chain. The data will be collected again with both fields.

Short video: a month of output from one shoot

The second part covered video production, which is already running end to end. Footage is filed into more than twenty folders — factory exteriors and interiors, production steps, showroom, exhibitions, customer visits, team, shipping, overseas warehouse, plus music beds, original voice and on-camera presenters. Each folder holds ten to twenty clips of two to three seconds, and the clips are combined automatically into finished videos.

Because the combinations are drawn at random, one round of filming can supply roughly a month of output for five accounts, and the newest script structure has been folded into the workflow as well. An open question remains: how platforms judge the same clip appearing in more than one video. Tagging and de-duplication are being looked into.

What happens next

Each workstream was assigned an owner, and the group agreed on a one-month pilot before deciding where to put more budget. Early testing points to Facebook as the strongest channel, so traffic will be concentrated there rather than spread thin. A small utility is also planned to keep everyone's local AI workflows synchronised with the company's shared storage, so there is one version instead of several.

The principle repeated most often during the session: AI handles the volume, people handle the judgement.
