Exhibition highlights

When: 8–11 September 2026, four days. Where: Hall W5, Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC), No. 2345 Longyang Road, Pudong, Shanghai — booth W5E21. What PandaSofa showed: nine recliner sofas and power lift chairs across five categories — modular recliner sets, top-grain leather recliner groups, fabric sectional recliners, home theater seating and a power lift chair. Who should read this: importers, distributors, retail chains, e-commerce sellers and project buyers sourcing recliner sofas and lift chairs from China on OEM, ODM, wholesale or regional agency terms.

The show itself was the 31st China International Furniture Expo (Furniture China 2026), organised by the China National Furniture Association and Shanghai Sinoexpo Informa Markets and held at SNIEC.

Three product groups on the stand

The nine models were staged by room setting. Three groups best represent the thinking behind this year's line-up.

Modular recliner sets: 8420 and 8556. Both were laid out as sectionals and carry the largest footprints on the stand — aimed at retailers merchandising a living-room story rather than a single SKU. The 8420 is a U-shaped fabric layout with twin consoles; the 8556 is a curved sectional in olive suede-effect fabric with a timber console panel.

Leather recliner groups: 8611, 8625 and 8539. The 8611 and 8629 are group configurations — three-seat, two-seat and single-seat sharing one cover and one frame spec, the format that keeps container loading simple. The 8625 builds twin reading lights, wireless charging and a storage tray into the console; the 8539 is a two-seat recliner with a centre console.

Theater seating and the power lift chair: 8626 and 8485. The 8626 is specified as home theater seating, in dark brown top-grain leather with an under-seat LED strip and a drop-down console. The 8485 is the power lift chair in this line-up — a single seat with a steel lift frame and hand control. Can the cover, colour and seating spec be specified to order?

Yes — and the fastest way to see the range is the swatch ring, which sat on the armrest rather than in a folder.

Cover options including top-grain leather, faux leather, fabric, suede-effect, waterproof fabric and woven rope, carried on the swatch ring at W5E21.

Seating spec: foam is available in three high-resilience density grades — D25, D30 and D35. Buyers with defined resilience or durability targets should state them at enquiry stage (density, resilience rate or compression set), so we can recommend the matching grade and confirm it in writing.

Structure is customisable across overall dimensions, seat width, chaise length, armrest profile, console unit and modular layout.

Three points worth discussing before you order

If this is your first recliner programme out of China, these are the three we align on early in most projects.

1. Cover and specification. Tell us the climate of the destination market, how the end user will clean the cover, and the channel it sells through — online retail and a high-end showroom do not call for the same fabric. Those three determine the recommendation.

2. Order quantity and container loading. One 40HQ container is the standard programme, and it can be loaded with a mix of models; actual quantities follow carton dimensions and the loading plan. Smaller trial runs can be arranged alongside the container programme. Lead time is 30 days for regular production and 25 days for expedited orders, subject to order size and season. Samples take 3–5 days once specifications are confirmed.

3. Manual or power recline. Both mechanisms are in the line-up, and the choice affects the frame, the available feature set and your spare-parts planning.
